Well, everybody knows how good and cheap is to buy in outlets in the United States. Even if you are, like me and doesn’t like shopping, there is no way that you won’t render yourself to the sales, discounts and the variety that they have it.
Thinking about that, I’ve made a list of some outlets and excellent shopping in Miami and surrounding areas.
Sawgrass Mills I think I can say that this is the most famous outlet in the area, am I wrong? It is around 30 minutes from Miami and 15 minutes from Fort Lauderdale and has approximately 350 stores. TIP: you can go to the website and print a “boarding pass to savings”, take to the information centre and they will give you a “passport voucher” filled with discounts for you to use in the stores. 12801 W Sunrise Blvd, Sunrise, FL 33323
Aventura Mall Again, it is not in Miami, but only a few minutes outside North of the city. They have a great variety of stores, over 300 of them. Bear in mind that it isn’t an outlet, but can be cheaper than London anyway.19501 Biscayne Blvd, Aventura, FL 33180
Dolphin Mall This outlet is in Miami, near the airport and it has a variety of stores that you can’t complain. You can go by car: 11401 N.W. 12th Street, Miami, FL 33172 Or there is a range of shuttles coming from a few places in Miami, like downtown, South beach, airport, etc. TIP: as soon as you arrive, go to the information centre and ask for the “passport to shopping”. It is a little book with loads of discounts in some stores. It’s so worth it!
Bayside Marketplace It is an open-air shopping centre, quite small but lovely to be walking around, enjoying the marina, drinking or eating something, as there are quite a lot of restaurants. It is from here that you take the boat for the excursion at the Biscayne Bay. 401 Biscayne Blvd. Miami, FL 33132
Coco Walk A very tranquil place, less crowded than the other ones. There are a few high-end stores, bar and restaurants. I’m not sure how it is now as I’ve heard that it is being renovated. If anybody has any news, please share with us. TIP: it is nice to drive around the area, see the beautiful houses. Lovely place! 3015 Grand Ave, Coconut Grove
Lincoln Road It is pretty much an outdoor shopping centre, full of shops, restaurants, bars, cafes. On Sundays happens the Lincoln Road Antiques and Farmer’s Market.
I went to Sawgrass because we wanted to buy some clothes; we went to Lincoln Rd and Aventure Mall because it was raining and the other ones, we went because they are lovely to walk around and to eat good food.
As you can see, there are a lot of shops to make you happy if you are crazy about it. And there is plenty more, rest assured.
